As the seasons change, so can our perceptions of beauty. Finding beauty in what could be considered old and decayed is the result of looking deeper. Using ICM (intentional camera movement), I extract and heighten the sense of beauty that I find in these leaves. Like life cycles, constant movement can be perceived as ups and downs. These photos were created to illustrate this continuous movement and allude to these waves. Internalizing this concept, we are forced to ask ourselves, where is the beauty within what could easily be overlooked? Even the spaces in our minds that are no longer in bloom may hold just as much beauty as our freshest ideas; we just need to look at them from a different perspective.
